About Us

:: Arae and Issa::

Issa and Arae have been friends for 6 years now- basically since we started exploring the world of SL! Throughout the years we have always stayed in contact, even if at times it was minimally as our lives took us in separate directions. However we always managed to find one another again, and to this day have remaind close. We started talking of opening a business together about 2 years ago, and just now this year of 2013 have finally made it happen! With the start of Raessa Marketing and Design we have gone through some serious face lifts with a complete brand change to Raessa Designs with a new logo, a brand new store and a whole new line of products and sales! Each day we learn from one another in our quest to provide top quality products at reasonable prices. Each of us has our set duties within the business however sometimes we will find our roles switching as the mood strikes ;)

My time in SL had previously been spent on learning about who I am and what type of person I hope to be both online and off. Throughout the years I have made many friends - most of whom are now out of contact. However the one person who has stayed with me the entire time has been Marrissa :) and over the past two years we have grown even closer with every day. She has been my savior in many an occasion when inexperience threatened me with poor decisions.

Me as a person, well I'm sure that's really why you're reading this About us - to learn about the owners behind the business! So some basics from me:
I am 26 years old currently working my non-computer related day job
I have been happily married for going on 2 years come May 2013 and am currently partnered to my RL husbands SL avatar

My business skills are more associated with Organization - Mostly all the stuff to do with SL Hunts - both participation and organization. I am an avid writer and have even been urged by Marrissa to begin blogging religiously -- So if you want me to blog about your store lemme know! I'd be happy to visit and talk about what I see -- I've also begun dabbling into the world of jewelry production though currently I am only able to add to previously established jewelry lines.

In-world I relate most closely with the 'true' Neko - want to know more what I mean with the true bits then you'll just need to find me in world and ask ;)

I adore Role Playing and have ranged from: Anime-Bleach (Ninja style stuff for those unfamiliar) ; Gorean - though I didn't get too much into this one as the culture was very extensive and I had already learned much of the Bleach culture at which point my poor brain was fried! ; BDSM - Yep love it and live it ; Fantasy - though I never got fully into this as I have yet to learn all the 'rules' associated with different creatures ; Playing house - Just basic family stuff nothing too great; and of course basic emoting.

Thank you for taking the time to read this lil' bit about me, I hope you learned something of interest and take the time to visit us in-world!

I've always had a bit of a love, hate relationship with SL. At times I have taken a break and honestly thought I would never be back. I have experienced many things in SL. It's almost easier to list the things I haven't done and experienced than those I have. Yep I have done it all, club ownership, store ownership, sim ownership and even roleplay sim ownership.
I have made a lot of really good friends and have taken some of them to real life where I count them among my closest friends.

As for me I am 30 years old and live in the UK where I am currently studying for a degree in business management. I am happily engaged to my partner who lives in Canada at the moment.

In my previous life before I became a student I worked in a marketing and design job and it is these skills that I utilise in Second Life to create the jewellery, tattoos and portrait pictures we have available in our store, Raessa Designs. I am the main designer for our store but also get involved in organising the groups and weekly deals we have.

I used to be an avid para-roleplayer with many lives and interwoven story lines. I still will roleplay if the mood strikes me and I have the time. I prefer to emote over use of props and tools and I find imagination can do a far better job than any prop or even poseball.
